I am excited to announce that the pre-production stage of the film is almost complete and I hope that production will be starting by the end of the month. The final step of the pre-production process is making the final contacts with those who will be interviewed and obtaining the equipment to make the film. As currently planned, the film will run between 60 – 90 minutes and will tell the complete story of Bastrop before and after the wildfires. We have over twenty people on our contact list just for interviews, and many more for research and footage purposes.
Be sure to check out the Facebook Page for continuing production updates, location photos, and stories from Bastrop wildfire victims.
Spread the word – Head over and like our Facebook Page and share it with your friends, family, and co-workers. It would be awesome to see strong support from the local Austin, and Bastrop community.
Funding – If you are able, please consider giving a small donation to help cover the many expenses of repeatedly traveling between Austin and Bastrop, and costs of equipment and distribution. Austin Film Society has extended their non-profit status to accept tax-deductible donations. You can find out more information and donate to the film on the Austin Film Society website.
Share your story - If you or someone you know were affected by the fires, we would love to share your story on our website or possibly in the feature film itself. Use the contact page to get in touch!
